ShatNav, single lane mountain passes
We set off from Llanca at about 9:30 and had decided we were going to start heading north to break up the journey home. Edwards managed to loose a card reader and an SD card in a senior moment.
We pulled over about 6 times for an old man pee, don’t laugh it will happen to you all in the end. Edwards had a spit out his dummy moment when he realised just how flakey the technology can be I’m on BMW bikes when you try and connect them to your phone and head set. This resulted in a complete treat of his bike knocking the speed back to MPH along with other settings. The grump continued well into the ride, oh how we launched.
We ended up on a mountain single lane track and stopped for a coffee where we think we were literally the young ladies first ever customer. She had only opened that day and there was stuff everywhere. She still found time to make us a coffee and a sandwich though. There were houses literally built into the mountains where we stopped, fascinating the way some people live. The young ladies second ever customers were an Irish couple on a Honda Crosstourer on their way to Italy, the British had christened the place.
We set off back into the one lane track following a small pickup. ‘Hope we don’t meet anyone on this road’…… ‘Douh’……’shit he is reversing up’……’shit you are reversing into me’……. ‘Shit, shit, shit’ . We escaped somehow.
We found a place to stay just outside Auch, but forget to check facilities, the place was beautiful but no food or drink so we ended up going into town in the evening for our first McDonald’s of the trip. And no drink!!!
Pick-up that decided to reverse into us
Edwards behind Williams (who he reversed into)
